Four all-star teams from the Washington Girls Fastpitch Softball League each finished second at the district tournament held the weekend of June 7 in Belhaven.

The three-day tournament saw Washington finish as runner-up to Jamesville in the 6U, 8U, 10U and 12U age groups. Each team qualified for the state tournament, which begins June 21 in Jamesville.

Washington will also field a 16-year-old team that will play in that age group, according to league president Beau Daniel.
