Washington alum, Duke S Terry Moore honored again

DURHAM, N.C. — Another publication has Washington High School and Duke graduate Terry Moore among the nation’s best.
Moore, a senior safety who graduated earlier this year, and the Blue Devils have been recognized as having the eighth-best secondary in the country. Pro Football Focus chose Duke, Texas and Alabama as three schools within its top 10 that have a top-10 cornerback in Chandler Rivers and a strong safety in Moore.
PFF had Moore as one of the country’s best after he led all Power Four Conference safeties with a 90.1 PFF grade. He’s also a three-time Academic All-ACC honoree and earned a place on the 2025 On3 top-100 players list at No. 63.
Moore was a Second Team All-ACC selection in 2024 after 71 total tackles, 45 of them solo. He also had a sack, seven tackles for loss, four interceptions and nine pass deflections.
For his career, Moore has 116 tackles, 10.5 for loss, 3.5 sacks, four sacks and 11 pass deflections.
Duke opens the 2025 season on Aug. 28, hosting Elon.
