A Beaufort County couple that operates Have a Heart animal rescue has been charged with seven counts of animal cruelty, Beaufort County Government confirmed on behalf of Animal Services.

Elizabeth and Jamey Donahue, of Washington, have been charged with seven counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty.
