A Blounts Creek man was pronounced dead at the scene of a motorcycle accident at approximately 10:15 a.m. on Friday, June 27.

Edward Lee Anderson Jr., 69, was driving a Honda motorcycle when he traveled off the road to the right and struct a culvert on Old Blounts Creek Road near Harrison Road. The motorcycle overturned ejecting Anderson Jr., North Carolina State Highway Patrol reported.
