Pets of the week

Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

Meet beautiful Jada, our Maine Coon/Persian mix. Jada’s long, silky coat has colors of silver, caramel and cream. She is a gentle cat with a loving, affectionate nature.  She loves being brushed and enjoys a snuggle on your lap. Jada is about three years old and she will be a perfect fit in any loving home.


Say hi to Goldie, a smart, 3-year-old, eighty-pound, male Golden Retriever-mix dog.  Arriving at the Shelter as a stray, he still needs some training, but he walks well on a leash and will sit on command. His friendly, “I love to play with toys” disposition makes him a great candidate for a forever home with a family.
