Claire Sallade Boden

June 3, 1937 – June 20, 2013

 

Mrs. Claire Sallade Boden, age 76, a resident of the Pamlico Plantation Community, Washington, formerly of Beaver, PA, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013. The family will receive friends today from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 N.C. Highway 264 East, Washington. A service and burial will take place at a later date in Beaver, PA.

Claire was born June 3, 1937, in Beaver Falls, Penn., daughter of the late Louis H. and E. Louise Clinton Sallade. She was a member of Mother of Mercy Catholic Church and helped to found Broad Creek EMS with her husband in 2002.

She was the beloved mother of Deborah (Rick) Pentz, of Beaver, Pa.; Lynne (Paul) Turnbull, Beaver Falls, Pa.; Susan (Scott) Zeimetz, Carolina Shores, NC; and Robert (Denise) Boden, Paris, Ky. She is also survived by stepchildren Sandy Johnson, Scott Boden and Shari LeGoullon; Sisters Marie Bogovich and Ruth Brimmeier, Brother Richard Sallade, her sister-in-law, Janet Bodnar of Gastonia, NC, 16 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials in Claire’s memory be made to Broad Creek EMS, 7214 Broad Creek Rd., Washington, NC 27889.
