Mr. Charles Evans Rice, age 60, a resident of Chocowinity, died Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.

A graveside service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Chrismon Family Cemetery near Bath.

Mr. Rice was born in Beaufort County on August 23, 1952. He was the son of the late Cecil E. Rice and Bertha Lucille Chrismon Rice. Mr. Rice was a retired carpenter.

Mr. Rice is survived by his son, Charles Edward Rice and wife, Bea Ann Rice, of Chocowinity; two nephews, Joshua Wade Rice of Greenville, Joseph Walter Rice of Chocowinity; and one niece, Cody Marie Rice of Chocowinity.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rice was preceded in death by a brother, John Wade Rice.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Saturday, July 14, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.
