Velma Clifton Spear, 81, of Creswell, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at Philippi Church of Christ, Creswel,l with Glenn Brickhouse and Thomas Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell, and other times at the home. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
