Iris Bear Falkson, 79, of 626 West Waterway Drive, Belhaven, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Pungo Vidant Medical Center in Belhaven.

She was born Feb 13, 1934 to Pearl and Joseph Bear.  She was the loving wife of Frank H Falkson who proceeded her in death.

Survivors are her brother Larry Bear of Massachusetts, daughter Linda Solheim of Arlington Virginia, granddaughter Alexis Solheim, and son Bruce L Townsend of Bermuda Dunes California.

A gathering with friends will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Ponzer Ruritan Club in the Ponzer Community.

The family request in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in the name of Iris Bear Falkson to the American Cancer Society at 800-227-2345.
