Lucille Shaw Roberson

April 10, 1927 – May 23, 2014

 

Lucille Shaw Roberson, 89, of Williamston, died Friday, May 23, 2014, at Martin General Hospital. The graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM at Martin Memorial Gardens with Rev James Lynch and Dr. Tony Warren officiating.

Mrs Roberson was born in Beaufort County on April 10, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Lewis Arthur and Lindy Harrison Shaw. Lucille was co-owner and manager of Shaw’s Bar B Q House and a member of West End Baptist Church.

In December of 1946 she married John Earl Roberson who preceded her in death on March 12, 2008.  Sisters Carthine Williams and Dorothy Seawell also preceded her in death.

Survivors are a daughter Arnette Daniels and husband James of Williamston, son Ricky Roberson and wife Linda of Williamston, grandchildren John David Ambrose, Kendal Ambrose, Alec C. Roberson and Kelby L Roberson, a great-grandchild, Chance Edmondson.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:45 PM at West End Baptist Church and other times at the home of Arnette Daniels 1253 Oakdale Drive Williamston NC.
