SHARON JONES | PURPOSE OF GOD ANNEX OUTREACH BIRD WATCHING: Children enrolled in the Purpose of God Annex Outreach Center Summer Program visited Sylvan Bird Park in Scotland Neck on July 18. The children followed a walking trail on a self-guided tour through the park, which took them through different regions of the world, enabling them to learn about and see all kinds of different species of birds native to Africa, South and North America, Eurasia and Australia. They were able to get close to the animals and some birds even walked beside them. The children were also able to converse with a parrot. Pictured are (left to right) Meshayla Brown, Kenneth Freeman, Jamie Ebron and Aaliyah Williams.
