Cheryl Stacy, a Pamlico Plantation homeowner who lives in Arizona, was visiting her grandchildren in July and awoke one morning to find the dolphin floating off of her waterfront. Her grandson, Bryce, was able to retrieve the dolphin and a neighbor called the NC Wildlife Resources Commission to remove it from the river.
