CRISTINA ARTEAGA

Cristina Arteaga, age 49, a resident of Cherry Run Rd., Washington, NC, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at her home. Cristina was born in Zimapan, Mexico on August 24, 1965, daughter of the late Bonifacio Sanchez and Amalia Contreras. She was employed with Griffin BBQ as a meat packer. She was married to Alberto Arteaga and was a member of Iglesia Familia de Garcia. Cristina loved spending time with her grandchildren and cooking.

A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Iglesia Familia de Garcia, officiated by Pastor Manuel Medina. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC and other times at the home.
