Destine Poole, 89 of 4727 Sidney Road, passed away Saturday, November 01, 2014 in her home.  Ms. Poole was the daughter of the late Mable Respass and Thomas R. Poole.

Ms. Poole was a member of Sidney Free Will Baptist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday School when she was young.  She was a “workaholic”, and was very dedicated to taking care of her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Sidney Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Raymond Latcher officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery and at other times at her home, 4727 Sidney Road.  Friends may send online condolences by visiting www.jimmysawyerfdl.com.

Survivors include her two brothers Herbert L. Poole and his wife Naomi of Virginia Beach, VA and Thomas R. “Rudolph” Poole and his wife Ida of Belhaven, NC and many nieces and nephews.

Ms. Poole was preceded in death by her two brothers Stephen R. “Bill” Poole and Arthur Poole.  Jimmy D. Sawyer Funeral Director Licensee is serving the Poole family.
