VAIL STEWART RUMLEY | WASHINGTON DAILY NEWS DELIVERY OF WHEELS: Staff of Vidant Beaufort Hospital went all-out for this year’s Toys for Tots campaign when Vice President of Patient Care Services Lou Montana-Rhodes challenged the nursing and respiratory therapy departments to a contest to see who could bring in the most bicycles for Toys for Tots. This led to clinical departments recruiting support departments to join their teams. As the Dec. 11 deadline approached, the competition got really fierce (and fun) and the overall response brought in over bicycles, as well as helmets. The bikes were delivered to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church on Friday and will be distributed to less-privileged children in the area who have signed up for the Toys for Tots program.
