The Washington Rotary Club met Thursday night at the Washington Yacht and Country Club. President Brad Davis opened the meeting with a welcome and a prayer and blessing for the meal. Program Chairman Zeno Edwards introduced his brother Seth Edwards who serves as District Attorney. Edwards presented an interesting and eye-opening power point presentation about recent acts of violence perpetrated against judicial workers both at the courthouses and at their homes. The examples he gave have occurred across the nation, as well as right here in eastern North Carolina. The lack of security measures were not limited to Beaufort County, but were also present in Martin, Tyrell and Dare counties, as well. Edwards said it has become his passion to bring these issues in our district into focus, which hopefully will lead to action. At the conclusion of his remarks, Edwards was presented with a highly coveted Rotary pen.

The meeting ended with the members reciting the Four Way Test of the things we think, say and do.
