Mrs. Lizzie “Bunny” Cayton Rowe passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at the age of 80.

Bunny was a lifelong resident of Beaufort County.  She graduated from Chocowinity High School.  She owned and operated The Town and Country Beauty Salon in Washington, N.C. for many years until she retired.

Bunny’s favorite pastime was cooking.  She often fed family, friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Lizzie Cayton; brothers, Leo, John and Henry Cayton; sister, Marie Cayton Poore and long-time friend, Merlin “Skip” Holmes.

Bunny is survived by her two sons, Jimmy Rowe and Greg Rowe and his wife, Theresa all of Chocowinity; one granddaughter, Christie Hawkins; and two great grandchildren, Calub Kite and Myah Cherry.   In addition, she is survived by sister, Juanita Saad of Greenville, Phoebe Mills, Judy Godley and Gloria Taylor all of Chocowinity; brother, Cleon Cayton of Chocowinity; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers for all the tender loving care Bunny received.

A celebration of life for Bunny will be held at Memorial Free Will Baptist Church, 2920 Gray Road, Chocowinity, on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM for family and friends.
