It was an unusual sight for those in downtown Washington on Saturday or not too far away, who may have gotten a glimpse of this U.S. Marine Corps HH-46 Sea Knight, and its dangling rescuer, participating in a practice rescue drill with the U.S. Coast Guard off of the Stewart Parkway waterfront. The drill was part of the entertainment provided by the Washington Marine Market. A large crowd turned out Market to shop for all things nautical — antiques, boat supplies, kit boats and beach-living accessories, just a small list of the vendor products drawing boat lovers from across eastern North Carolina to the annual market.
