Former resident to attend NCSSM

MARTIE WARNER SCIENCE AND MATH STAR: Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hodges, of Washington, are pleased to announce the acceptance of their granddaughter, Hannah H. Gahagan, formerly of Washington, to the North Carolina School of Science and Math. She is the daughter of Martie H. Warner and Mickey S. Gahagan. While attending Cuthbertson High School in Waxhaw, N.C., Hannah played on the tennis team and was involved in several extra curricular activities and clubs. She is leaving CHS with the highest GPA and No. 1 ranking for her sophomore year. She will complete 60 hours of volunteer work this summer before attending NCSSM, a residential high school that focuses on the intensive study of science, math and technology, in Durham her junior and senior years. Her step grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Warner and Mr. and Mrs. Jessie Norris, all of Washington.
