Washington Evening Rotary talks dental hygiene

 The Washington (evening) Rotary Club met Thursday night at the Washington Yacht & Country Club in the Upper Deck overlooking Broad Creek. President David McLawhorn called the meeting to order and led in the Pledge of Allegiance. Bartow Houston lead in the singing of America the Beautiful, and he also gave the Health and Happiness report   Following a delicious pasta meal, program chairman Zeno Edwards introduced his lovely wife, Terry Edwards. Mrs. Edwards is a dental hygienist by profession and a known expert on dental health and oral hygiene. She spoke a length about proper dental care, including proper flossing techniques and especially proper brushing with a Sonic Care tooth brushing system. Mrs. Edwards delighted the Club members with an array of free dental samples including a variety of products with Xylitol, which is a natural sugar that actually fights tooth decay. Following her presentation, Mrs. Edwards received a well-deserved round of applause and a highly coveted Rotary Pen. The meeting concluded with the Rotarians reciting the Four Way Test of the things we think, say and do.
