Elva Bembridge Hardison
May 12, 1939 – Oct. 15, 2015

Elva Bembridge Hardison, 76, of NC Hwy 171, died Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Martin General Hospital.  She was born in Jamesville, May 12, 1939 to the late Pearlie and Lizzie Ward Bembridge and was predeceased by a grandson, Jim Hardison. Elva was a member of Fairview Christian Church.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Fairview Christian Church, officiated by Pastor Jerry Norris. Burial will follow in the Hardison Family Cemetery on Fairview Church Road.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James “Big Boy” Hardison of the home; sons, Jimmy Hardison and wife Amy, Frankie Hardison and wife Mary, Jeff Hardison and wife Michelle, all of Jamesville; sister, Neva Pierce of Hampton, VA; grandchildren, Jennifer H. Congleton and husband Scott, Jamy, Frank and Ashley Hardison, Trey Floyd, III; great-grandchildren, Payton and Cooper Congleton, Seth Salazar, Landon, Jackson and Hollie Hardison.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 17th at Fairview Christian Church from 6-8 PM and from the home at other times.  Memorial gifts may be made to Fairview Christian Church, 1020 Fairview Church Road, Williamston, NC 27892 or to Marion Shepard Cancer Center, 1209 Brown Street, Washington, NC 27889.
