Charles R. Braxton

Mr. Charles Robin "Tom" Braxton, 87, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Ridgewood Manor, Washington.
A graveside service will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. today in Ayden Cemetery.
Mr. Braxton was born to Lewis and Melissa Braxton on Jan. 3, 1916. He married Myrtle Casey Braxton in April 1937. He was a member of Ayden United Methodist Church and was a life long resident of Ayden.
Survivors include four daughters, Robin B. and husband Bobby Turner of Washington, Kay B. and husband Richard Chalk of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Patricia B. and husband Jimmy Joyner of Burlington and Deborah B. and husband Scott Loehr of Augusta, Ga.; one sister, Mildred Carr of Hampton, Va.; eight grandchildren, Casey Edwards, Molly Edwards, Greg Chalk, Karen Chalk, Jim Joyner Jr., Jeff Joyner, Jon Joyner and Thomas Wagoner; and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Farmer Funeral Service, Ayden.
