Mrs. Corrine Edwards Cooper, 79, of Jamesville died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003 at Plumblee Nursing Center.
A funeral will be conducted today at 3:30 p.m. in Poplar Chapel Church of Christ with the Rev. Ernie Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Jamesville Cemetery.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Edison, Ga. on Aug. 2, 1923. She was the son of the late William Edwards and Annie Edwards. She was married to Bennie Walton Cooper who preceded her in death in December 2000. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Poplar Chapel Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Emanuel William Cooper of Lynchburg, Va. and Nat W. Cooper of Jamesville; a daughter, Sarah Jones of Lakeland, Fla.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the church and at other times at 1616 N.C. Highway 171, Jamesville.
In lieu of flower, memorial may be made to the charity of one's choice.
