On Feb. 22, 2003, life as we know it came to a peaceful close for Evalyn Johnson at Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home, Washington, N.C.
She was the second child of two born to the late Beldso and Lucy Johnson. Her sister preceded her in death.
She was born in Lynchburg, Va. At an early age, her family moved to Atlantic City, N.J., from there Evalyn moved to New York City. After many years, she moved to Washington, N.C.
To rejoice in a beautiful memory and sorrow in her passing, she leaves two special friends, Isabel "Lizza" Eddie Wilder and family and Muriel Cofield.
Memorial service will be conducted 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003, at the Randolph Funeral Home Chapel, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington, N.C.
