Mr. Frank Taylor Randolph, 67, of 202 W. Seventh St., Washington, died Thursday, March 6, 2003 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be held at noon Tuesday at the Temple of Jesus Christ United Church in Washington with Sterling Tripp officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
Randolph was born July 21, 1935 in Beaufort County. He was the son of the late Leon R. Randolph Sr. and the late Naomi Taylor Randolph. He graduated from the former P.S. Jones High School. He studied at St. Augustine College in Raleigh, earning a degree in English. He was a teacher in Henderson. He was a retired teacher and assistant principal with the former Washington City Schools. He was a licensed funeral director and former manager of Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, where he served as a lay reader and in other capacities. He was a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 11 and Jeptha Chapter No. 1, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a sister, Margaret Randolph King of Washington.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis Taylor Randolph, Leon Rhodes Randolph Jr. and Theodore Bonner Randolph; and a sister, Dorothy Randolph Merritt.
A requiem will be conducted at 6 p.m. tonight at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Christian Umeofia officiating.
The family will receive friends at the home.
