The Rev. Dora Lee Cobb Whitted, 60, of Greenhill Trailer Park, Lot 30, Rocky Mount and formerly of Washington, died Monday, March 10, 2003, at Nash General Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted Saturday at noon in Gethsemane Holy Church, Battleboro.
The Rev. Whitted was born in Washington on March 8, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Oliver Clayton Cobb and Eulia Mae Cobb. She attended the Washington City Schools. She was married to Samuel Whitted, who survives. She was the pastor of Helping Hands United Holy Church, Rocky Mount.
Survivors include one son, Allen Clayton Cobb of the home; one granddaughter, Rasheeka Lyons of the home; two sisters, Rosa M. Cobb and Angela Pope, both of Washington; two brothers, William A. Ebison and Willie J. Cobb, both of Washington; four aunts, Ora Lee Satterwaite, Bertha Douglas, Jennie Ward and Bertha Ebison, all of Washington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the home of her brother, William Ebison, 601 Havens St., Washington on Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. each night. The family will leave from 601 Havens St. at 9 a.m. Saturday for the funeral.
Arrangements are by Stokes Mortuary, Rocky Mount.
