Mrs. Shirley Wilkins Evans, 61, of 108 Greenway St., Greenville, died Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Holy Trinity United Holy Church, Greenville, with Bishop Ralph E. Love Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in Homestead Memorial Gardens, Greenville.
Mrs. Evans was born in Pitt County, where she attended the county schools. She was married to David E. Evans, who survives. She was a member of Holy Trinity United Holy Church, Greenville, where she served as secretary, was a member of the Trustee Board and held several other positions.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna L. Harris of Greensboro; two sons, Lindsey R. Lowe Jr. and John D. Evans, both of Greensboro; two sisters, Sandra Wilkins Paige of Fort Washington, Md., and Angela Wilkins Wilson of Greensboro; one brother, William Wilkins of Washington, D.C.; and four grandchildren.
The body may be viewed from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity United Holy Church, Greenville.
