Mrs. Mary Frances Powell, 81, of U.S. Highway 17 North, Williamston, died Thursday, March 13, 2003, at Martin General Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home with Dale Minton officiating. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News, Va.
Mrs. Powell was born in Clarksburg, W.Va., on March 9, 1922. She was the daughter of the late John H. and Ola Summerville Douglass. She was married to Rivers Andrew Powell who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Community Christian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Lee Hoaglan of Williamston; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Biggs Funeral Home and at other times at 1019 Pool Lane, Williamston.
