Ms. Madeline M. Pearsall, 86, of 52 Lynch's Beach Road, Bayboro died Friday, March 14, 2003, at Craven Regional Medical Center.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Antioch United Church of Christ with the Rev. James Heath Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Midgette family cemetery.
Ms. Pearsall worked faithfully as a church mother, was an active member of District No. 1 Union Countywide Mission and the New Bern District Fellowship Union until her health failed.
Survivors include five sons, Sulton Pearsall Jr. and Carlton Pearsall, both of Raleigh, Douglas Pearsall Sr. of Bayboro, Ernest Pearsall of New Bern and Michael Pearsall of Blounts Creek; four daughters, Frances Marshall, Beatrice Williams and Phoebe Pearsall, all of Bayboro, and Bertha Marshall of Macomb, Ill.; 34 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The body may be viewed from noon to 6 p.m. today at Rivers-Morgan Funeral Home, Inc., New Bern and at the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the home.
