Ms. Isabell Gibbs of 2603 Bluff View Drive, Greenville, and formerly of Hyde County, died Monday, March 17, 2003, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Lydia Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ms. Gibbs was born April 30, 1927, the daughter of Felix Fonville and Caroline Spencer. She attended the Hyde County schools. She was a member of St. Lydia Baptist Church, where she served in the choir.
Survivors include four daughters, Northan Gibbs of Decatur, Ga., Evelina Graves and Betty Gibbs, both of Hampton, Va., and Merlene Jones of Greenville; one son, William E. Gibbs of Killeen, Texas; two brothers, Bobby Spencer of Flushing, N.Y., and Harry Spencer of Columbia; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Fred Fonville; and one brother, Douglas Spencer.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 208 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Washington.
