Mrs. Margaret "Anne" Rayburn McCann, 68, a resident of 1577 Dixon Road, Chocowinity, died Thursday, March 20, 2003 at her home.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home, Washington, with Travis Boyd officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Larry Howard, Allen Howard, Wesley Rayburn, Michael Williams, Greg Rayburn and Josh Carawan.
Mrs. McCann was born in Scranton on July 23, 1934, the daughter of the late Fred M. Rayburn, Sr. and Margaret Covington Rayburn. Mrs. McCann was a homemaker and a member of the Wanoca Presbyterian Church. She was a devoted mother who performed an invaluable service to her nation.
On Nov. 28, 1969, she married Frank McCann, who survives.
Survivors include her husband, Frank McCann of the home; a daughter, Patricia Winslow of Rocklin, Calif.; a son, Chris Reznor of Dallas, Texas; a brother, Max Rayburn of Washington; a sister, Betty Lou Baker of Washington; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Mrs. McCann was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Rayburn.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Monday at Paul Funeral Home, Washington.
