Joseph David Hall, 47, died Saturday, March 22, 2003 in the Ridgewood Manor Nursing Center.
A graveside service will be held at the Hall family plot in Oakdale Cemetery at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Danny Barrow officiating. The following will serve as pallbearers: Chris Stebbins, Gregory Leggett, Tyler Shorey, Cecil Leggett, Shawn Hall and Buddy Webb.
The family will greet friends at Paul Funeral Home in Washington on Monday evening from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and at other times at the home of his mother, Marion Leggett Hall, at 310 Warren Place, the Goose Creek Community, Washington.
Mr. Hall was born in Beaufort County on Aug. 24, 1955, the son of Mrs. Marion Leggett Hall and the late Robert J. Hall, who died in 1992. Mr. Hall grew up in Massachusetts and was a graduate of Leominster, Mass. High School. The family moved back to Beaufort County following the death of his father. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and worked as a long distance truck driver prior to his illness.
Surviving with his mother are two brothers, James Hall of Washington and Robert Steven Hall and wife Tammy of Groton, Mass.; three sisters, Brenda Ruth Stebbins and husband Joe of Lunegburg, Mass., Nancy Willets and husband Jay of Ayer, Mass. and Lynn Sawyer and husband Jonathan of Washington; six nephews; five nieces; three great-nephews and three great-nieces.
