BAYVIEW -- Plymouth edged out Northside by four strokes to claim first in a tri-team golf match at Bayview Country Club Monday afternoon.
The Vikings recorded a 191, with Northside coming in second with a 195. Cape Hatteras was third with a 209.
Adam Hedgebeth recorded his second 37 of the season and was a medalist for the third time this season. Hedgebeth has an average of 39.2 for the season.
Samuel Brown shot a 41 for the Vikings. Brandon Smith contributed a 50. Teammates Timmy Smith, Will Barkovitz and Tabitha Acree each shot a 63.
B.J. Marsh led the Northside effort with a round of 45. Chip Davis and William Everett both turned in a 48. Matt Neal had a 54 and Matt Francis took 60 strokes.
Daniel Well paced Cape Hatteras with a 45. Teammate Jeremy Beckham had a 49.
Northside imporoved to 4-3 on the season.
Plymouth will travel to Williamston to take on the Tigers and Northside at Roanoke County Club in the first 18-hole match of the season on Monday.
Williamston wins
WILLIAMSTON -- With two players shooting under 40, Williamston captured first place among three of the Four Rivers Conference golf teams at Ranoke County Club in Williamston Monday afternoon.
The Tigers recorded a 160 with Southside claiming a 208 for second. Perquimans was third with a 227.
William Rhitter was the medalist of the day with a 37. Matt Hardison had a 38 and D. Batts added a 41 for Williamston.
Russ Davis paced Southside with a 42. Arpit Patel contributed a 48 and Patrick Martin recorded a 51. Daniel Moore turned in a 57. Nick Tate and Parker Hall tied with rounds of 62.
Southside will host Cape Hatteras and Perquimans Monday at 4 p.m. at Cypress Landing.
Pam Pack takes sixth
Washington finished sixth in a conference golf meet hosted by C.B. Aycock Monday afternoon.
Eastern Wayne's Kevin Brindley was the days medalist with a 76. He helped his team capture third, which was separated from second and fourth by just one stroke. C.B. Aycock claimed victory with a 319. West Carteret was second and Kinston fourth. Southern Wayne was fifth with a 348 and Washington sixth with a 366. West Craven recorded a 421 and South Central turned in a 446.
Jeremy Smith paced the Pam Pack with an 83. Phillip Angarole turned in a 91 and Eric Apple had a 96, as did Andrew Newman. Grayson Hodges rounded out the Washington finishers with a 109.
The Pam Pack will host a conference match Monday at 2 p.m. at the Washington Yacht and County Club.
Knights fall
Lawrence Academy's junior varsity baseball team defeated Terra Ceia's varsity 11-0 Monday afternoon in Washington County.
The Knights had just two hits but committed five errors, including four in the first inning.
Lawrence took advantage, scoring nine runs in the first inning and two in the third. It had no errors and made seven hits.
The game was changed from the original schedule, where Terra Ceia was to play Lawrence's varsity, which defeated the Knights (1-5) earlier this season.
Stephen Cullop took the loss.
Terra Ceia will host Albemarle today in Washington.
