Mrs. Gentry Flowers Caroon, 91, of the 8700 block of Stratford St., Norfolk, Va., died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at home.
A graveside service will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Spencer officiating.
Mrs. Caroon was born in South Creek, the daughter of the late Andrew and Martha Clark Flowers. She was married to Nathan Russell Caroon, who survives. She was the owner and operator of Gentry’s Antiques for 34 years. She was past queen of the daughters of the Nile, a member of the American Business Women’s Association, the Westminster Chapter of the Eastern Star, the Traffic Club and the Antique Dealers Association. She was a member of Ocean View Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Caroon Wilson and Janet Marie Caroon, both of Norfolk, Va.; one sister, Ardieth Marie Lewis of Washington; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mabel Toler and two brothers, Samuel D. Flowers and Forest W. Flowers.
Memorial donations may be made to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
