Mr. Paul Travis “Petie” Chesson, 47, of Plymouth, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, in Summerville, S.C.
A funeral will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in Christian Hope Church of Christ with Owen Emanuel and Edwin Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Chesson family cemetery, 3782 W. Millpond Road, Roper.
Mr. Chesson was born March 19, 1959, the son of Joseph Monroe Chesson Jr. and Vermelle Mizelle Chesson. He served in the Army. He was married to Bonnie Drake Chesson, who survives.
Survivors include two stepchildren, Melissa and Dalton Drake, both of the home; one sister, Cynthia C. Baker; two brothers, Joseph Monroe Chesson III of Plymouth, and William H. Chesson of Jamesville; and grandmother, Marjory Mizelle, of Plymouth.
In lieu of flowers, donations to help pay for funeral expenses may be sent to Vermelle Chesson, 1401 U.S. Highway 64 West, Plymouth, NC 27962.
