Ms. Josephine Whitaker Leggett, 63, of 4508 Poplar Point Road, Williamston, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home with the Rev. James Dixon officiating. Burial will be private.
Ms. Leggett was born in Martin County on Nov. 27, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Virginia Whitaker. She worked as a teller at Southern Bank. She was a member of Cedar Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Jodie Edmondson of Williamston; one sister, Barbara Weeks of Chesapeake, Va.; and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at 1130 Clyde’s Drive, Williamston.
