Mrs. Margaret Ann Fisher Scarboro, 92, of 250 Lover’s Lane, Washington, died Friday, February 2, 2007 at Britthaven of Washington.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, February 5, 2007 at Harvest Church with Pastor Tad Tankard officiating. The Harvest Church Handicapped Van Ministry Drivers will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Pinecrest Cemetery in Lakeworth, FL.
The family will receive friends following the funeral service at Harvest Church and other times at the home of her daughter, Diane Stenback, 17 Fairwind Drive, Whichard’s Beach Road, Chocowinity.
Mrs. Scarboro was born June 22, 1914 in Palm Beach County, FL. She was the daughter of the late Hutchins Fisher and Hattie Jane McCarley Fisher. She was married to Ira T. Scarboro, who preceded her in death in 1972. Mrs. Scarboro had been a resident of Beaufort County for nineteen years. She was a homemaker and faithful member of Harvest Church. She was affectionately known as “The Hat Lady”.
Survivors include her daughter, Diane Stenback and her husband, John of Chocowinity, NC; her sister, Carol Vines of AK; six grandchildren, Keith Stenback and his wife, Wendy of Mooresville, NC, Lance Stenback of Ocala, FL, Dede Forsythe and her husband, Randy of Red Creek, NY, Shelly Edwards and her husband, Wayne of Lake Wales, FL, Jennifer Jung and her husband, Peter of Lake Worth, FL and Marty Lichty of Chocowinity, NC; and seven great-grandchildren, Kaylee Beaumont, Dana Beaumont, Robbie Beaumont, Ashley Borges, Suzanne Borges, Christopher Lichty and Stephanie Forsythe.
