Mr. Hassie Sylvester “Willie Whimp” Minor, 45, of 5956 Old Sandhill Road, Edward, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at home.
A funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Phenal Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Blounts Creek, with Bishop Bernard Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Minor family cemetery, Edward.
Mr. Minor was born in Beaufort County on Nov. 11, 1961. He was the son of Ola Stilley Minor and the late Otis Minor. He was a 1980 graduate of Aurora High School. He was employed in construction. He was a member of Phenal Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Blounts Creek.
Survivors include one daughter, Tiswana Hamilton of Raleigh; two sisters, Loretta Minor and Arnetta Minor, both of Edward; one brother, Archie L. Minor of Edward; and one grandchild.
Viewing will take place only at the church during the funeral hour. The family has requested there be no viewing at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends at the home.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
