Mrs. Susie Harris Bowen, 88, of 1530 Toba Bowen Road, Williamston, died Wednesday, March 7, 2007, at Martin General Hospital, Williamston.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Biggs Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bowen was the daughter of the late Edmon and Martha Mobley Harris. On Oct. 28, 1933, she married Toba Bowen, who preceded her in death May 27, 1990. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bear Grass Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Patricia B. Fischer of Bear Grass; one son, Milton Bowen of Durham; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, E.D. Harris, Alton Harris and Elbert Harris and two sisters, Euzelia H. Cherry and Mary H. Lilley.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home and other times at the home.
