Mr. Steven Smokey Blunt, 51, of Hycienda Heights Apt. 88, Engelhard, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mattamuskeet High School gymnasium with the Rev. George Merrick officiating. Burial will follow in Cox Cemetery.
Mr. Blunt was born in Kings County, New York on June 2, 1955. He was the son of the late Leroy Jones and Emma M. Blunt. He attended school in New York. He was a Marine Corps veteran.
Survivors include one son, Asa Blunt of Raleigh; one daughter, Kendra G. Blunt of Engelhard; and three sisters, Della Blount and Edith Blount, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Lynette Blunt of Ahoskie.
The family will receive friends at the home.
