Mrs. Ada Elizabeth Wiggins Buck, 89, of 58 Worthington Lane, Chocowinity, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at Beaufort County Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Gorham Swamp Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jerry Smith officiating.
Burial will follow at Gorham Swamp Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Buck was born in Pitt County on May 24, 1917, daughter of the late Johnnie Richardson Wiggins and Ida M. Lewis Wiggins. On July 23, 1938, she married William Buck Sr., who preceded her in death on June 6, 1972. She was a homemaker and a member of the Gorham Swamp Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Joyce Buck Worthington of Chocowinity; her son, William Buck Jr. of Greenville; two brothers, Josh Wiggins of Chocowinity and Mayhue Wiggins of Vanceboro; one sister, Lottie Bright of Chocowinity; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson.
The family will receive friends today from 7-9 p.m. and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gorham Swamp Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 1584 N.C. Highway 102 West, Chocowinity, NC 27817.
