Mrs. Catherine Warren Ore, 72, of 717 West 13th Street, Washington, N.C., died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington, N.C.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2007, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Washington, N.C., with Rev. William F. Whitehead officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Washington, N.C.
Mrs. Ore was born April 14, 1934 in Beaufort County. She was the daughter of the late Ida Maye Warren and James C. Warren. She attended the Washington City Schools. Her employment was as a Cook-Chef with the former Mel’s Diner, Washington, N.C. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Washington, N.C.
She married Randolph Ore.
Survivors include one son, Charles Junior Lodge and wife Deborah Lodge, Washington, N.C.; three sisters, Almeta W. Samuel and husband, Earl Samuel, Washington, N.C., Helen W. Boone and husband, Herbert Boone, Chocowinity, N.C. and Rebecca W. Waters and husband Henry Waters, Washington, N.C.; granddaughter, Claudia James of the home; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Lodge Green; two sisters, Ella Louise Ward and Gladys Warren and three brothers, James Warren, Jr., Robert Warren and Clarence Warren.
The family will receive friends at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Charles Lodge and Deborah Lodge, 5765 Dean Drive, Washington, N.C., and also at the home, 717 West 13th Street, Washington, N.C.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 North Bonner Street, Washington.
