WILLIAMSTON — Mildred Francis Stalls Haislip, 62, formerly of 200 Hatten Street, died Monday, April 23, 2007 at Oak Haven Assisted Living in Greenville. She was born in Martin County on August 8, 1944 to the late Sam and Mac Hobbs Stalls and was predeceased by a sister, Francis Annette Bryant; 3 brothers; Ronald, David, and Jimmy Stalls; 2 sisters, Ruby Thompson and Dorothy Dodson. Ms. Haislip was active in the Lion’s Club and was a former medical assistant.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Walker Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Paul Brafford and Rev. Dallas Gurganus. Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include: a daughter, Christa Bryant Dally and her husband, Danny, of Greenville; a son, Jay Bryant and his wife, Christi of Williamston, NC; sisters; Elaine Phelps of Chocowinity, NC, Peggy Lewis of Washington, NC, Chris Freeland of Beaver Dam, VA and Betty Caudill of Reva, VA; a brother, Rudolph Stalls of Robersonville, NC; 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 26, 2007 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be made to United Hospice in Greenville, NC.
