Mrs. Anna Mae “Barbara Jean” Moore Dixon Allen, 63, of 115 E. Eighth St., Washington, died Monday, April 30, 2007, at Beaufort County Hospital, Washington.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Deeper Life Ministries, U.S. Highway 264 West, Washington, with pastor Clara Albritton officiating. Burial will follow in Harvey family cemetery, Washington.
Mrs. Allen was born in Norfolk, Va., on April 4, 1944. She was the daughter of Hannah Mae Moore Leggett and the late Billy Cobb. She attended the Beaufort County Schools. She was married to Joseph Dixon Sr., who preceded her in death. She later married Pierce Linwood Allen, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Argie “Rita” Marie Moore of Washington, and Jeanette V. Dixon; three sons, Ronald Earl Dixon and Ryan Dixon, both of Washington, and Joseph Dixon Jr. of Warpaku, Hawaii; one sister, Patricia L. Ore, Washington, three brothers, Redden Leggett of Bath, and Henry Mack Leggett and Samuel Earl Leggett, both of Washington; 11 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Argie “Rita” Moore, 809 Van Norden St., Washington.
Arrangements are by Randolph Funeral Home, 219 N. Bonner St., Washington.
