Mrs. Sudie Mae Brantley Taylor, age 82, of 2112 Whichard’s Beach Rd., Chocowinity, died Thursday, May 3, 2007, at her home.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2007, at Pamlico Memorial Gardens and will be conducted by Glenn Waters.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Nash Co. on July 9, 1924, to the late Doane and Susan Strickland Brantley and on September 15, 1944, she married the late David Lee Taylor. Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Washington High School and was a homemaker and caregiver.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Taylor Johnson of Chocowinity; one grandson, Lance Johnson and his wife Kimberly and one great grand daughter, Ariel Dawn Johnson, all of Chocowinity. She was preceded in death by one sister, Jessie Wilder and four brothers: Durwood Brantley, Ormond Brantley, Ell Brantley and Lloyd Homer Brantley.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home, 2112 Whichard’s Beach Rd. Chocowinity.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, NC 27834.
