Mrs. Frances Hoggard Cobb, 62, of 1111 Keith St., Williamston, died Monday, May 7, 2007, at home.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in West End Baptist Church with the Revs. E.T. Vinson and Adron Modlin officiating.
Mrs. Cobb was born in Bertie County on Dec. 24, 1944. She was the daughter of Freeman and Sarah H. Hoggard. She was married to James Raleigh Cobb Jr., who survives. She worked as a fraud investigator with Martin County Department of Social Services until her retirement. She was a member of West End Baptist Church, where she played the organ for 27 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Cobb of Durham; one son, James R. “Jimbo” Cobb III of Williamston; two sisters, Pat Jernigan of Colerain, and Gail Smith of Windsor; and two brothers, Freeman Hoggard Jr. and Malvin Hoggard, both of Windsor.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, Williamston, and other times at the home.
