Mr. James Phillip “Jim” Williams Jr., 60, of 1243 Archie Mobley Road, Williamston, died Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Pastor Gene Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
Mr. Williams was born Oct. 31, 1946, in Martin County. He was the son of James Phillip Williams Sr. and the late Donnie Mae Stillman Williams. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was employed with the U.S. Department of the Army.
Survivors include his father, James Phillip Williams Sr. of Williamston; two daughters, Barbara Williams and Renee’ Williams, both of Nottingham, Pa.; two sons, James Phillip Williams III and Edwin A. Williams, both of Williamston; one brother, John Linwood Williams of Pennsylvania and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Daniel Ray Williams.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Hillside Funeral Service, Washington, and other times at his home.
