Mr. Francis Brennan Cole, 78, of Washington, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at Britthaven of Washington.
A private family memorial service will be held Thursday in Fayetteville.
Mr. Cole was born in Providence, R.I., the son of the late Mary Brennan and Elmer H. Cole. He was a graduate of Commerce High School and Iona College in New York, N.Y. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with two bronze service stars, the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. On May 20, 1950, he married the former Florence M. Schroeder, who preceded him in death in 1981. On June 27, 1982, he married the former Dorothy E. Cromb, who survives. He was employed for 20 years as a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, retiring in 1981. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Washington.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela C. Hodges of Washington, and Andrea C. Draper of Oceanside, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Shirley C. Glicksman of Bayshore, N.Y.; one stepson, Robert W. Cromb of Island Park, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Pamela Hodges in Washington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
