Vincent Larry Johnson, age 42, a resident of 9603 Hwy. 99 North, Pantego, NC, died Monday, June 4, 2007, at the Beaufort County Hospital in Washington, NC.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Vince was born in Seattle, Washington on June 8, 1964, son of the late Edmond L. Johnson and Sarah C. Johnson who survives. He attended Beaufort County and Hyde County Schools. Vince enjoyed all aspects of work that included commercial fishing and electrical work in the construction field. He helped in the community with small improvements when asked. Vince had enjoyed hunting and more recently sport fishing. He loved music of all kinds and was outgoing and his energetic personality enabled him to fit in with any social class of people. His ability to cast a lighter side to any situation made it a roller coaster of a ride to know him and he will be missed by many.
Surviving along with Vince’s mother Sarah Credle of Sladesville is a sister: Rita Johnson of Fines Creek, NC and a niece: Elizabeth Marie. Vince was preceded in death by a stepfather: Mervis C. Credle.
The family will receive friends at the home of Vince’s mother Sarah located at 2760 Lynnsburg Road, Sladesville, NC.
The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to the Vince Johnson memorial fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
