Mr. Roosevelt “Roe” Sutton, 32, of 104-A Sawmill Circle, Plymouth, died Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at Washington County Hospital, Plymouth.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Promise Land Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ), 2817 Old U.S. Highway 64 West, Jamesville, with Elder Anthony R. Terrell officiating. Burial will follow in Mann family cemetery, Roper.
Mr. Sutton was born in Mount Vernon, N.Y., on Feb. 9, 1975. He was the son of Ernest Nixon of Roper and Varlie Sutton-Covel of Plymouth. He attended the Mount Vernon public schools. He worked as a cook and in housekeeping for Little Man Restaurant and Bojangles Restaurant in Plymouth. He was a member of Living Water Church, Mount Vernon, N.Y.
Survivors include one daughter, Quaniya R. Sutton of Plymouth; two sisters, Jaime S. Perkins of Hi-Nalla, N.J., and LaShonda Sutton of Mount Vernon, N.Y., and two brothers, Erick Lee Rouson of Raleigh, and Orlando Nixon of Jamesville.
The family will receive friends today from 7-8 p.m. at Puckett-Purkett Funeral Service, Roper.
